No Breakfast Is Better Than A Kellogg® or Post® Breakfast!
Cereal companies have done an incredible job of marketing their products and convincing the vast majority that their cereals are healthy and nutritious.
Their target marketing to children has played an important roll in raising their sales to astronomical numbers.
Actually, these cereal foods are loaded with sugars and starch, and are good at helping you get fat and developing diabetes.
You are better off eating no breakfast...than eating many of the popular cereal breakfast foods.
Other standard breakfast offerings that fit in the same category are muffins, donuts, Danish, etc.
All of these breakfast offerings contain massive amounts of sugar or they contain pure carbohydrates that the body converts to sugar.
Loading your body up with these kinds of foods every morning will overburden your pancreas trying to produce enough insulin to cope with the heavy load of sugar you dumped on it.
This heavy sugar load can wear out your pancreas leading to Type 2 or Adult Onset Diabetes.
Let's face it...if this is the kind of breakfast you and your kids are into, then you have become "sugar addicts" which is probably the most common form of addiction in the world
Prior to World War II, diabetes was called exactly what it was..."sugar diabetes."
To People Who Want To Start With A Great Breakfast...But Can't Get Started
A good breakfast is a healthy breakfast that contains little or no sugar.
Your breakfast nutrients should not vary very much from the kinds of foods you eat the rest of the day. High in protein, 10% to 20% in natural fats, and very little carbohydrates.
Here are some good breakfast suggestions:
Eat eggs. This is almost the perfect nutritional food. You can prepare them in so many different ways for taste and you can vary them each day. I eat 2 to 3 a day.
Steak and eggs are great and super healthy.
Bacon and eggs. Make sure the bacon is not the pre-cooked kind which is loaded with nitrates or nitrites, cancer causing preservatives.
Poached fish or pan fried, if you use butter, is a great source of protein and your omega essential fatty acids.
Natural cheeses are good. Stay away from processed cheeses, they are not healthy at all, and be sure the cheese you choose has not been homogenized. Homogenization destroys the digestive enzymes in the cheese.
Need something sweet with your breakfast? Have a piece of whole fruit...not canned or juice.
Wash it all down with a cup of Rooibos Tea or a cup of black coffee.
With your energy filled breakfast packed away, you're now ready to go out and conquer the world!
Eating a smart protein and natural fats dominated breakfast is part of a total health program that everyone should be on to maintain their youth, and be forever younger.
All the best health to you!
