Pesticides Are Okay For You...
But Not Termites?

These are organophosphorus pesticides that are known to produce neurological effects in animals and humans. 

One of these OP insecticides, chlorpyrifos, was used extensively in residential termite-control products and pet flea collars until such applications were banned in 2001.

Now, for the USDA and the FDA, as we well know, to ban any product it must be pretty bad, so bad they won’t even allow its use on termites! Maybe they figured that having chlorpyrifos floating around the house was not so good for us and our pets.

That being the case, I really appreciate their concerns for our good health.

However, in their infinite wisdom, high level of intelligence, and their concerns for our good health, they have determined that chlorpyrifos is still okay to use on corn, apple, orange, almond and walnut crops.

So it’s okay to use on the food we ingest but it’s not okay to use on termites and flea collars. Did I miss something here? If you figure it out, please let me know.

Anyway, back to the study, it was conducted on a group of 23 children ages 3 to 11.

For three days eating their normal diet, their urine was tested each day and each day they found that all 23 had metabolites of malathion and chlorpyrifos in their urine. 

For the next five days, the children were given organic replacements of the fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, processed foods and corn-based foods that were their normal diets.

The urine tests continued. As soon as they switched to organic foods the researchers found there were no longer any traces of malathion and cholopyrifos in their urine and the insecticide contamination remained at zero level until conventional foods were reintroduced.

This test was strictly limited to conventional foods in relation to insecticides and the health of children.

Add to this the affects of other additives in conventional foods such as trans-fats, high fructose corn syrup, hormones, anti-biotics, preservatives, artificial colors, mono-sodium glutamate (which doesn’t have to be listed on labels), chemical taste enhancers and on and on, and we wind up raising whole generations of future adult cripples with all kinds of developed diseases.

For this we can thank our conventional food industry, the USDA and the FDA.

If you think you as an adult are not getting the same problems from conventional food, then guess again.

Take the hint. Go organic! And remember...wash carefully all the foods you buy.
